Guest Post: Rebecca Subbiah from Chow and Chatter, Nantes Market

I was so excited when Rebecca from Chow and Chatter asked me to guest post on her blog.  Of course I said yes with the only condition that she guest posts on mine 🙂  Many of my readers know Rebecca and her blog. She’s British, a registered dietician, wife, mother, freelance writer and friend.  She has a kind heart and a love for all things cuisine!  Her love for cuisine, health and diversity is apparent by the many dishes she creates and the bloggers she features.  I especially love seeing her cook Indian dishes when her mother in law visits from India.  She has a love for family and culture!  Rebecca just returned to the states from a trip to visit her family in the U.K. and spent some time in France as well.  I was so excited when she told me that she took some pictures of the Nantes Market in France and that they were selling Paella!  I wish I could have been there with you Rebecca!  So without further ado, here is my friend Rebecca Subbiah from Chow and Chatter sharing her time at the Nantes Market in France!

Hi I am honored to be here on Diana’s lovely blog, its very Green and family orientated and I adore the recipes from her Mum!
So as I know she likes fresh and local foods, I got pictures from a trip to Nantes in France last week at the Saturday morning market. So I hope you all enjoy your visit!

Fresh rabbit, doesn’t look all that pretty but tastes good in fact my hubby enjoyed a rabbit stew in Paris while we were there

Fresh fish and I mean fresh as Nantes is just 40 minutes from the coast, oh they smelled good.

Fresh cheese and the French really make great cheese

Fresh vegetables, look at the unique spiky cauliflower!

little quail eggs

They were even making fresh paella at the market I just know Diana will appreciate this with a Spanish Mum.

Flowers

Fresh crepes, this region of France is famous for them, me and my little daughter tucked into a ham and cheese one followed by nutella!

More fishies
Thanks again for letting me take you to this wonderful market.
Love Rebecca
