Welcome to the Nourishing Jams, Jellies, Preserves and More! Blog Hop, hosted by Pamela @ Seeds of Nutrition, Wardeh @ GNOWFGLINS, and me! This blog hop starts on Friday, August 27, 2010 and extends to next Thursday, September 2, 2010.
We are all excited to see what you are doing to preserve seasonal fruits using natural methods and natural sweeteners. Share any nourishing jams, jellies, preserves or chutneys. Please… no artificial or refined sweetener. You can link up your posts the same way that you do for Simple Lives Thursday. We’ll keep the linky up for an entire week. This should give you some time if you still haven’t made your favorite jelly or jam.
Besides nourishing recipes, other related posts to putting up seasonal fruits. What are your favorite canning books? Do you have an amazing recipe from your grandmother or something you came up with yourself? Or how about tips and techniques that we all could learn from.
Also, feel free to post more than one link. Just make sure to link back to this post so that others can learn and join in the fun!
Nourishing Jams, Jellies, Preserves and More Blog Hop
Wish I could just buy all these jams and jellies!
What an awesome idea! And thanks for leaving it open for a week! I'm going raspberry picking tomorrow…so I should have a post up in the next few days!
Does pickle relish count? I'm making up a batch today.
Hi Diana!
I linked to my tomato ginger jam. It uses organic brown sugar but could also be make with raw honey, I think. It' s a refrigerator jam, and it easy to make and a delicious way to use homegrown tomatoes 😉
This is such a wonderful post! Btw, Diana, how are you doing darling? Yes, it has been a while. Well, I'll try to link mine homemade jam to yours. I just made some. Hope you're enjoying your day.
cheers, kristy
This post comes at a perfect time for me (well, duh Megan, this is the time of year for preserving…) 🙂
I'm enjoying your blog. As a fellow Iowegian, I was excited to see you blog about the Berry Patch in Nevada, very close to where I grew up (in Colo). And since you also went to ISU, I'm also curious if you know any Armbrechts… Well, I know ISU is huge, so it's not likely, but I thought it'd be cool if you knew any of my extended family.
Right now I'm collecting wild plums from a couple trees on the property we're renting, and now i will be collecting some crab apples from the gi-normous tree just outside my door to make homemade pectin! I was so pumped to see your post that I think I dreamt about it all night! LOL! I hope to make some plum jelly!
