There’s always a sigh of relief after catering pies and cake for a wedding. This wedding was a little bit different.
I enjoyed the planning, research and preparation that went into this display.
The simplicity, the handmade touch was a breath of fresh air.
I think what made this wedding special as well is that I had the priviledge of creating it for a friend.
A friend that I’ve known since high school.
A friend Gabe and I have spent many times with in joy and laughter; yet, painfully watched as a season of pain, trial and tribulation took hold.
All the while, God had such an amazing plan for Chad.
It took a season of sorrow to find Him, God was always there.
It took a heart of surrender to find peace, Jesus had already laid down His life.
Once found, God took away his pain and blessed him beyond anything that this world could ever offer.
To witness their commitment to one another under Christ was a vivid example of His love for us.
He scooped up my friend when he needed Him most. I honestly couldn’t have imagined Chad turning his life to Christ.
A true example that God can work a miracle and change the lives of anyone.
If only we’d share our faith more… myself included.
Watching this couple immersed in the love that only God can provide while surrounded by family, made me feel honored to have been able to be a part of it.
It was a simple, chic evening affair.
An evening to slow down while taking in His creation.
Nostalgia and fun.
Genuine and real.
