Chocolate Peanut Butter Bonbons Sweetened with Maple Syrup

bon_bons

by Jacquelyn of LittleOwlCrunchyMomma

I love the cold that Winter brings. It is a cold that ushers in such warmth. For me winter means cozy-ing up by the fire, sipping hot cocoa and enjoying treats with loved ones.

As a new mom, this years Christmas has brought me many exciting things to ponder in a fresh and meaningful way. I am overwhelmed by a sense of gratitude.

Gratitude for my family, my growing baby girl, a safe warm place to live, and for a God that I strive to understand. In gratitude, I want to savor every moment as much as I can including the little things like homemade treats including chocolate peanut butter bonbons.

If I were a super-mom, (which I undoubtedly am not) chocolate would be my kryptonite. I am a self-proclaimed addict. This recipe for chocolate peanut butter bonbons came about when I was experimenting with Kimi’s recipe for Silky Maple Chocolate Fudge. I do have to warn you, these bonbons are absolutely addicting.

If anyone you cherish has peanut allergies (or for a change) you can use almond butter instead of peanut butter. It works great.

Wishing you a wonderful and gratitude-filled Christmas and New Year!

What will you be cherishing in the New Year?
