Seedlings are taking off in my plots at the community garden. On Monday I sowed seeds of zinnia’s, geraniums, and radishes as they attract beneficial insects (You can read all about companion planting by clicking here). I still need to seed marigolds, chamomile, swiss chard and mesclun lettuce. My strawberry plot is looking wonderful and next year should bring a good harvest. With all the rain we’ve had this week, my summer plots at my dad’s house have been put on hold. 3 raised beds have been built, the ground has been tilled, and now I’m waiting for a dry day to amend the soil with a top dressing and compost. Hopefully next week I’ll have a new update on my new raised beds.
