Urban Chickens

My backyard chickens, 7-25-09

BAWK BAWK! I’ve had a few people recently asking about my chickens. They’re still there and doing quite well free ranging in my backyard. I shot a short video to give you an idea of what it’s like in my backyard 🙂

It must be so nice to have complete control on the quality of the eggs you eat! But I wonder if it's a lot of work to take care of the chickens?

    Thanks everyone!

Rebecca – We still havn't gotten any eggs. We should start seeing some in September!!

Miriam – The greatest thing about backyard chickens is they are so easy to take care of. Fresh water and feed is all they really need. Since they free range all day long, their coop doesn't get very messy 🙂 I do have to clean off the deck as they do leave droppings there, but so do all of the other birds in the trees 🙁

Thanks so much for the comments 🙂
