Christine’s Virtual Baby Shower and Bravado Nursing Tank Giveaway!

Christine’s virtual baby shower and week of giveaways starts today!  Christine recently posted this picture below on facebook that I had to share.  She is now 32 weeks pregnant with her baby boy and radiating.

Isn’t that a gorgeous a picture.  What I really think is great is how many food bloggers are pregnant at the moment ready to join the ranks as food blogging mamas.  I love it!  New mamas ready to pass down the ever important skills and joy of cooking.  My friends Rebecca from Chow and Chatter, Noelle from An Opera Singer in the Kitchen, Katie from Kitchen Stewardship, Miranda from My Food and Life Encounters and Sabrina from Rhodey Girl Tests just to name a few.  Hmmm…. something in the blogging waters per say?

To begin the virtual baby shower for Christine, we’re going to talk a little about nursing tanks. Specifically the nursing tank by bravado! Designs.

When I was nursing my babies I used a nursing tank almost every day.  What I enjoyed most about them is that they allow you to nurse comfortably in public.  They keep your tummy hidden and allow you and your baby easy access to your breast when you need it by simply unclipping the tank at your shoulder.  When I saw the bravado Designs tank what I really enjoyed about this was the support this tank offers.  Check this out.

It’s really at this time that we need this kind of support especially at the beginning as we tend to gorge as our milk is establishing itself.

According to bravado! Designs

The Essential Nursing Tank – What You’ll Love:

  • Built in Bra: Proprietary design gives you a full support (molded) built in bra on the inside, a beautiful shape and cottony comfort, all in one!
  • Great for nursing in public: perfect to wear every day – nursing in public, around the house, going to yoga class, lounging or as sleepwear.
  • Long in length: Imagine…you’ll look terrific, feel great and it is easy to nurse in public because it provides tummy coverage where you need it. Our nursing tank is long giving you a beautiful and flattering shape that’s fitted but not clingy.
  • Maternity Tank and a Nursing Tank: Fabric gently stretches while retaining its shape after washing. A two for one value as you can wear it as a maternity tank while pregnant and then continue to wear it as a nursing tank while breastfeeding.
  • Cotton Nursing Tank: Soft, high-quality cotton/spandex outer fabric isn’t see through, even in white
  • Full Access: Cups unclip at the shoulder and drop down and away from your body to give baby full access to your breast, providing you and your baby with skin-to-skin contact which is essential, specially when establishing a breastfeeding rhythm.
  • Discrete Nursing Clips: allow full breastfeeding access and only you will know this is a nursing tank.

There is nothing more important than planning for breastfeeding.  At the beginning it can be difficult and daunting.  So many woman begin their pregnancy with aspirations to breastfeed but when things get difficult, babies won’t latch, pain etc… they lose hope and resort to formula.  Being prepared and having someone experienced to help you is essential to the success of breastfeeding.  Once you establish that bond in breastfeeding, there is nothing like it.  It was honestly my favorite part of raising my babies.  That snuggy time that literally joins you together.  And the nourishment is beyond what any formula can give to your child.

I was so pleased that bravado! Designs partnered with us and sent Christine her own nursing tank and has one to send to one of you!

That’s right.  Even if you’re not pregnant I’m sure you know someone who is.  In order to win, here are the rules…

Well, this would not be for me but for a dear friend who works at http://www.growingpower.com and is about to have her first baby within the next week. She is all about organic, ergonomic and helping the green world. She is a very dear friend of mine, ex-coworker. She is a tiny little thing but ohhh so adorable with that big belly!
