Peaches and nectarines are one of my favorite summer fruits. When mid July hits us, I'm always on the look out for fresh, juicy peaches and nectarines that scream summertime! My kids love them and we eat them almost every day throughout the summer. Usually raw, but we also love it in our oatmeal. Preserving Cucumbers
In the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing all the different way to preserve natures bounty. How does the garden grow? 9/13/09
It's been over a month since my last garden update. This past August was a cool month and definitely not what a summer garden needs. After speaking to many organic farmers at the farmers market, we all pretty much had the same thing to say, "We need the heat!!" It's 9/11 and a day to remember. A day that vividly lives in my heart. I remember watching from my apartment at Iowa State University as 2 planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City.
