Naturally Sweetened Sweets and Treats Recipes

Luscious, Taza Chocolate Cupcakes with Avocado Frosting

It's amazing that we are already halfway through our homeschool year.  It's been nothing short of awesome to see my boys learn and thrive at home. I especially love looking into their eyes as they think and formulate their own thoughts and opinions. I'm so happy we decided to homeschool. It's definitely the perfect fit for our family. Tomorrow we'll be heading out with a small homeschool group to deliver cookies and sing Christmas carols at a retirement community.  We'll follow that up ... continue reading...

Simple Lives Thursday

Simple Lives Thursday, #125

It's Simple Lives Thursday! My favorite day of the week where you share your tips and recipes for living a simple life. Coconut Oatmeal Cookies, the Real Food Way

Written by Katie of Mexican Wildflower. December holds many fond memories for me. I spent every Christmas growing up savoring my Grandma Stanley’s home cooked goodness while watching snow fall through her picture window. I may be a California girl living in Mexico, but I’m a Missouri girl at heart. My love for the Midwest runs deep in my veins. The people, the landscape, and the food are all a part of who I am. Homemade, hearty, and simple foods that have been passed down for generations. ... continue reading...

New DROID RAZR HD Giveaway by Verizon!

Since June, I've been a Midwest Savvy Gourmet for Verizon.  A group of amazing food bloggers and myself were given some of the newest Motorola technology to help us in our food blogging. I was given the Droid Xyboard Tablet and the Intuition by LG Smartphone all on a Verizon 4G Data Plan. When I first joined in as a Savvy Gourmet, I wasn't exactly sure how technology would fit into my food blogging.  You know?!  I write about food and intentional living... not technology.  Now that I've ... continue reading...
