Garden Update, 7-27-2011
It's been a wonderful gardening season so far. We've been under a heat wave, however, with days of rain interspersed giving everyone a much needed break from watering. I enjoy seeing the plants take off after a good hard rain as it's been refreshing to actually see the plants thrive and grow. (After 3 years of flooding, it's about time.) Thank you Jesus. With the extreme heat and humidity we've been seeing in Iowa, I've been dreaming of the cooler temperatures on the beaches of Southern Spain. To feel the salty air on a brisk summer morning. I don't know about you but dreaming about my future kitchen makes me happy. I currently have a small kitchen and although content in where I'm at, a bigger space would be a dream. I'm in my kitchen so much of the day that I consider it my workplace. When I think of the perfect kitchen for me, I don't think fancy but functional. Simple.
